Hiten Tejwani excited about Ardh landing on OTT

Though theatres have resumed operations after being shut for months due to the coronavirus pandemic, several filmmakers are still opting for a direct-to-digital release for their complete projects.

The makers of the upcoming Hindi film Ardh have also decided to release it on OTT. The film, which has been in news since the very beginning of its shoot, stars Rubina Dilaik, Hiten Tejwani and Rajpal Yadav in lead roles.

 While dropping the first look of Rajpal Yadav from the film the makers revealed that Ardh will premiere directly on an OTT platform, skipping theatrical release. However, they are yet to announce the date and other details.

Seasoned actor Hiten Tejwani, who plays an important character in the film, is happy with the makers’ decision of releasing it online.

Talking about the same, he told a publication. “I think more or less, right from the beginning, Palash made it clear he is looking for an OTT release and we were prepared and we are excited. Of course, you like a theatrical release and it is a good thing for an actor but the OTT space is doing well and if content is right and it connects with the audiences, this will go places and you will talk about it if you like it and then people would really want to watch it. We have made a good film and hope for the best.”

Ardh has been directed by debutant filmmaker Palash Muchhal.
