Here's How Priyanka Chopra's Performance In 'Aitraaz' Helped Her Land A Role In 'Krrish'; The Actress Said 'Meri Izzat Ka Sawal...'
Priyanka Chopra's performance in 'Citadel' has been admired and she has been talking about the series, behind the scenes moments, her character, and the plot. She has frequently proclaimed her pride in each project she has worked on. She has frequently related anecdotes about her film ‘Aitraaz’ and once discussed how it helped her land the role of ‘Krrish’, which was directed by Rakesh Roshan.
Priyanka was the love interest of Hrithik Roshan in the ‘Krrish’ film series. His father directed the picture, and strangely, it was at a funeral that he first identified PeeCee as a prospective starring actress.
The actor talked about how Priyanka Chopra got her Krrish role during an appearance on The Anupam Kher Show. She told a fascinating anecdote to News18 and stated, “Rakesh sir saw me at a funeral, and he called me. He said, ‘I saw you at a funeral, you’re very pretty’. I said, ‘Excuse me?’ I was wearing a white salwar kurta, no makeup.” When Rakesh Roshan said he was interested in seeing her performance in Aitraaz, she swiftly bounced back.
“Anyway, Rakesh Roshan was calling me, and this was right after 'Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai'. He wanted to see my rushes from Aitraaz,” Priyanka Chopra continued. Obviously, the actress was a little hesitant as she had played a negative role in the drama. She said, “I called up Abbas-Mustan, and I said, ‘Look, meri izzat ka sawal hai (my reputation is on stake), please don’t show him the interval scene’. It was a r*pe scene, in which I r*pe Akshay’s character. He watched that scene and cast me in 'Krrish'. I was so embarrassed I couldn’t look him in the eye.”
That is a fascinating tale, indeed! Curiously, Amrita Rao was also considered for the part, but sadly, she didn't look good with Hrithik Roshan because she looked too young.
