The way he shows a story on screens with dreamy visuals is something no other director can pull off. The royalty and accuracy he brings to the films hits the right chords of the audience’s hearts. He has been in the industry for so many years and we are lucky to have witnessed some of his greatest epics on the big screens. There are a lot of masterpiece films that he has given the Indian cinema. But, today we took a look at some of his most iconic films that we couldn’t take off our minds.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

The leading actors in this romantic drama are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn. This love drama musical, which has a heartbreaking plot and gorgeous backgrounds of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Budapest, is based on the play Shetal Ne Kathe by Rashtriyashayar Jhaverchand Meghani. The songs of this film still play in the audience's hearts.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

Ganga Jagjivandas Kathiawadi, well known as the Mafia Queen of Mumbai, is the subject of the biographical crime drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. Gangubai advocated for socially pariah women in the movie, aids their children in getting accepted to a neighbouring school, and does everything in her power to improve the life of sex workers.

Bajirao Mastani

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, which stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, was a passion project that took approximately 11 years to finish. The Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani love story, in which Kashibai is the woman whose self-respect did not even go past the boundless love for her husband, served as the inspiration for this historical drama. Mastani, on the other hand, was more than simply a lover; she was a combatant who battled alongside Bajirao to defend her father and his realm. She engaged in conflict with everyone in an effort to win his love and become his wife.

Padmaavat

The movie earned positive reviews from critics while garnering controversial headlines. The movie Padmaavat, which is based on the same-named poem by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, portrays the tale of Sultan Alauddin Khalji's desire to seize the stunning Queen Padmavati. In the legendary movie, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor all had major roles. Like Bhansali's prior films, this one dominated the box office.

Devdas

Devdas, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's finest work, was released more than 21 years ago. This movie introduced us to the extravagant universe of the director, who went to great pains to create this movie a visual extravaganza. One of the most expensive Hindi movies ever produced was Devdas, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Madhuri Dixit.
