Sunny Deol's most recent release, Gadar 2, has set the Indian box office on fire, surpassing the lifetime earnings of Bollywood's massive hits like Dangal and KGF Chapter 2. The movie has secured its place as the third highest-grossing Hindi film ever. The director of this action-packed sequel, Anil Sharma, even hinted at the potential for a third installment in this successful film series.

In a recent conversation, Ameesha Patel, a key figure in Gadar 2, shed light on the film's conclusion and unveiled that the entire cast was in the dark about the prospect of Gadar 3 until Gadar 2's release. Reprising her role as Tara Singh's wife Sakeena in 'Gadar 2,' Ameesha Patel shared that the cast and crew were taken by surprise by the notion of Gadar 3.
In an interview, Ameesha disclosed why Sakeena's character didn't cross paths with Muskaan (played by Simrat Kaur), her son's romantic interest in the film. She explained, "Sakeena doesn't acknowledge Muskaan as a daughter-in-law. That's the mystery everyone's pondering over." Ameesha went on, "If Tara had supported an elder person, he would have likened them to his parent. Had it been a boy, he'd have considered him his son. In the same vein, Tara refers to Muskaan as his 'beti' (daughter), not 'bahu' (daughter-in-law). This is the essence of Tara's character. That's why the director chose not to have Sakeena meet the girl."
The burning question remains: will Sakeena and her son's love interest, Muskaan, eventually have a significant encounter? Ameesha gave insight into the potential storyline of 'Gadar 3,' confessing uncertainty about whether Muskaan's character will continue into the next part or return to Pakistan. She shared that the romantic aspect between Jeete and Muskaan was an unexpected addition, not originally part of the film's plan.
"Given the war-like scenario, it's unlikely for a guy to seek love. He went searching for his father, not romance. That's why Anil Sharma opted not to show me embracing or welcoming the girl (at the end). He adjusted this at the conclusion, leaving it as an open question," Ameesha further elaborated during the interview.
