Darlings stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew. Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, the dark-comedy film reflects upon the issue of domestic violence but the depiction of the same is quirky. Vijay plays Hamza and is Alia’s aka Badru’s husband who abuses and hits her. Badru who forgives her husband again and again finally realizes her worth and with the help of her mother takes Hamza as a hostage. The film shows the mother-daughter duo’s struggles and how they trap him and make him suffer. But the climax of the film and extremely intriguing acting by the actors of the film is what makes it to be on the to-watch list.

3. Gargi (Sony Liv)

Sai Pallavi's character Gargi is a teacher who works in a school. The story begins with her father's arrest by the police completely upends her existence. A nine-year-old girl is suddenly sexually harassed at the apartment where her father worked. Gargi tries to meet with her father, but the investigating police officer says that he was only detained after the police observed his movements.
