Babil Khan recently shared his mother Sutapa Sikdar's wishes for him and how pleased she is of her son. Sutapa Sikdar has been getting a lot of love and appreciation for her son's outstanding performance in Qala. Babil also discussed getting attention from women and being unable to have male pals.
In a recent interview with a news agency, Babil revealed that boys his age would be reluctant to be friends with him simply because he would talk about his "feelings" a lot. However, Babil claimed that ladies never found his frequent discussion of his "feelings" to be bothersome or to be a barrier to their friendship with him.
He said during the interview, "I would get a lot of it (female attention) because I am a sensitive guy. Ladke mujhe samajhte nahi the (The boys wouldn’t understand me). I wanted friends, I would go to the boys and be like, ‘Bhai mujhse dosti kar lo, maine kya kiya hai? (Bro, please be friends with me, what have I done?)’ They would tell me, ‘You talk about your feelings a lot, just play football man. Football ke beech rone kyu lagta hai! (Why do you start crying while playing football?)’"
The ‘Qala’ actor claimed that this was the cause of his friendships with girls. "However, the lads soon developed jealousies! You men abandoned me initially, so what do you want?” he says. At the time, he experienced a lot of bullying, Babil continued.
Irrfan Khan's son revealed during the chat that he has never been the type of man to go out and 'grab' ladies. He believes that the notion of "getting" women, as it is typically expressed by boys, is "absurdly wrong." Babil added that if one speaks in that way, it "subconsciously" begins to influence how people view women. He added, "You don’t ‘get’ women, you partner with them, and not necessarily and only in a romantic way. Maybe this is why I was closer to women… I am a Mumma’s boy. I hope she is proud of me. I hope I am doing enough for her."
