Content Engineers & Dancing Shiva Productions is proud to announce its maiden collaboration with talents Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa. The biography of Mahatma Jyotirao Govindrao Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule, social revolutionaries and reformers who were far ahead of their time in their vision and approach, stars the acclaimed actors. Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, a National Award-winning director, will write and direct the Hindi feature film, which will be promoted and released all over the world.

On the 195th anniversary of Mahatma Phule's birth, the first look for the film was unveiled. Both Pratik and Patralekhaa were featured in the first look post looking strikingly similar to Mahatma and Savitribai Phule, which piqued the interest of audiences. For those who are unfamiliar with Mahatma Phule, he is best known for speaking out against untouchability and the caste system, founding the Satyashodhak Samaj, and advocating for equal rights for the lower classes. In addition, the Phules were pioneers in the field of female education. Pratik, on the other hand, is ecstatic about the project, describing it as a "dream project." It'll be his first biopic, which is unusual.

Pratik is elated to be a part of the project. The Scam 1992 (2020) actor said, “It’s a real honour to take Mahatma Phule’s legacy to the world. Phule is my first biographical film and even though the challenges are huge, given the fact that he was such an inspirational Indian leader; it’s also a dream role and I can’t wait to get started.”

Patralekhaa expressed her delight with the much-anticipated project. She said, “I grew up in Shillong, Meghalaya, which boasts of a matriarchal society so gender equality is very close to my heart. Savitribai joined hands with her husband to start the first indigenously-run school for girls in Pune way back in 1848. Mahatma Phule also championed widow remarriage and together they set up an orphanage to prevent infanticide. This is one film that will stay with me long after it is over.”
