The sudden rise in COVID-19 cases in the country has derailed production of several upcoming films which were at various stages of development. While the makers have always taken every precaution possible on their sets, some producers have now decided to call off shoots as additional precautionary measures.

The latest we hear is that Excel Entertainment has decided to cancel a song shoot for their upcoming horror-comedy film Phone Bhoot, featuring Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Filming will resume after a week as the makers believe that the situation will be a little better by then. The said song reportedly had a requirement of over 100 background dancers.

Not just Excel Entertainment, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has also decided to call off a song shoot for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Johar was set to film a song with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, which has now been postponed.
