Fatima Sana Shaikh is one of the most promising young talents in the Hindi film industry right now. The actress, who was recently seen in Netflix release Thar and the Amazon Prime web-series Modern Love Mumbai, has always tried to play unconventional roles that challenge her boundaries as an actor.
In order to prove her mettle as a performer, Fatima is currently prepping hard for her upcoming film Sam Bahadur. In the Vicky Kaushal-starrer, she will be playing the role of Indira Gandhi and has been working extra hard to look convincing in her onscreen portrayal.
As a part of the preparation, Fatima is currently immersed in reading the biography of Indira Gandhi by American author Katherine Frank. Sharing a picture of the book on Instagram, Fatima wrote,“Such an interesting book on her life. Half way through.. would highly recommend it”.
Not so long ago, Shaikh had also shared a picture from the sets of Sam Bahadur, in which she can be seen sitting in front of a mirror. “And here we go #SamBahadur,” she wrote as caption.
Talking of Sam Bahadur, the film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw (played by Vicky Kaushal) who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.
