In the film, Satish Shah plays a professor who has a habit of spitting while talking. Farah revealed that Shah Rukh Khan couldn't control his laughter while shooting a scene where Satish Shah spits on him. It took them five to six takes to get the shot right.
The characters in the film were inspired by Farah Khan's childhood memories
Farah revealed that all the characters in 'Main Hoon Na' were inspired by the aunties and uncles of her old society in Nehru Nagar, Mumbai. For example, Satish Shah's character was inspired by an uncle who used to spit while talking, and the characters of Ms. Chandni and Raghavan were inspired by Farah's own teachers.
Sushmita Sen was cast as Ms. Chandni because every boy had a crush on a hot teacher
Farah said that every boy she knew, including her brother, had a crush on some hot teacher. So, she combined all those teachers and made the character of Ms. Chandni.
