Emraan Hashmi regrets what he said and how it ruined his relationship with the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actress, which has since been permanently damaged after he made headlines by labelling Aishwarya Rai Bachchan false and plastic during his first appearance on Karan Johar's talk programme 'Koffee With Karan.' Ash appears to be one of those individuals who forgets but does not pardon. Emraan afterwards apologised for what he had said about the former 'Miss India' in one of his earlier interviews. Fans praised Aishwarya for her poise in choosing to disregard these criticisms because she has never responded to them.

Emraan Khan said, "I didn’t mean it. I’m a big fan of Aishwarya. It’s the format of the show. I cannot not say things and not win the hamper. I love her. I have always been a great admirer of her work. I knew people would make a big deal out of it… so what, people make a big deal out of nonsense all the time." In another interview, he even claimed that Karan made you do things you didn’t even want to do. Does that mean the filmmaker was forced to say such nasty things against Ash?, "It’s that show, Karan pushes you to say these things."
Even though 'Koffee With Karan' is one of the most contentious shows, many celebrities are still reluctant to appear on the programme for fear of making a mistake. However, Karan made it clear in an interview that the celebrities are the ones who see the final edit before he airs the episodes, so blaming him solely would be unfair.

Emraan isn't the first famous person to regret appearing on Karan Johar's show, either. Ranbir Kapoor is another Bollywood star who is prepared to launch a protest against Karan's show. The 'Brahmastra' actor believes that the show has significantly damaged his reputation, and in one of the videos, he was even heard ranting about how he and Anushka Sharma want the show to be banned because it lacks any interesting content.
There is a lot of speculation that Ranbir and his wife Alia Bhatt may appear on season 8 of 'Koffee With Karan.'
