Surya Kasibhatla, who played Vidya Balan's son in Jalsa, has revealed the acting advice and tips she gave him. Surya is a cerebral palsy patient who appeared in Suresh Triveni's film, which was recently released on Amazon Prime Video.

Surya elaborated on his dream of collaborating with Vidya Balan in an email interview, saying, "Vidya maam's acting has always been one of my favorites. Working with Vidya ma’am was a dream come true and an absolute delight. She was very loving and caring, and it was a pleasure to work with her. As a newcomer, I learned a lot from her, especially how to emote appropriately for the scene. She used to say that acting is all about reacting. I tried, to the best of my ability, to put that into action. Vidya ma'am is my all-time favorite actress. I'm madly in love with her." He went on to say that Akshay Kumar is his favorite artist.

Surya made a rare Bollywood debut as a cerebral palsy patient playing a cerebral palsy character. "It's primarily about giving a disabled...rather specially-abled...a fair and equal chance." It is also a step forward in terms of overall inclusivity. This can help many differently-abled people gain confidence in pursuing their passions. Suresh Sir and Abundantia Entertainment have taken an inspiring step in creating such opportunities, and Amazon Prime Video has taken it to a global stage," Surya said.

The actor knew he wanted to be an artist since he was four years old. "I've had a lifelong interest in computer programming, music, movies, and sports." "I've wanted to be an actor since I was four years old." He claimed that his Indian physiotherapists informed his mom and dad that Jalsa filmmakers were looking for an actor, and he landed the part. "After an initial virtual audition, the casting team of Jalsa and the director identified me as the best fit for the role, and from there, the entire team of Amazon Prime Video and Abundantia Entertainment made sure I was flown down to India with all safety protocols and precautions."

He further added “The best and toughest part of the film was doing justice to the role. Suresh sir and the team’s confidence and belief in me portraying Ayush was a big responsibility. Being on the scene is harder than many people think, but the pre-shoot workshops as well as the whole team on the sets made me comfortable. So I was able to perform as per their expectations."

He spoke about getting equal treatment on the sets even after his health conditions he said “Nobody from the team treated me differently. I was one among them. I was absolutely comfortable while shooting for Jalsa. Right from my travel logistics to the accommodation, food, and local travel, everything was a seamless experience. The entire cast and crew made sure that I am always comfortable and at ease."
