Shah Rukh Khan is currently at the pinnacle of his career. Hombale Films stated a day ago that their gangster action picture, ‘Salaar’, will hit theaters on December 22, 2023, clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's next feature, ‘Dunki’. The announcement stunned everyone since clashing with a superstar who is riding high on the success of back-to-back 500 crore films is a risky move. Hombale sources, on the other hand, claimed to be confident in their goods and the distribution of Anil Thadani.
According to sources, Pen Marudhar has joined the ‘Dunki’ distribution team. "Pen will release Dunki in the majority of Indian territories." Following the historic triumph of Jawan, Pen will look to give Dunki a nationwide release. Rajikumar Hirani and Jio have also shown complete faith in SRK and team's model," a source revealed.

Pen Marudhar has vowed to give ‘Dunki’ more attention than Salaar. "It's SRK at his peak and no one can get it easy in a clash with him. The distributors and exhibitors are excited to screen the combo of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani. While the Salaar team might opt for various models to secure screens, just the combo of SRK x Hirani is enough to excite the audience," the insider added, adding that Pen has been initiating negotiations with exhibitors to have ‘Dunki’ showcasing in place.
The Hindi film audience has returned in large numbers, and hence a quality made-in-Hindi film – ‘Dunki’ - is likely to ignite the box office on fire, regardless of the clash.
"The exhibitor partners on Jawan have already extended complete support to Dunki. SRK, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn are the OG Hindi Film Stars and the exhibitors are excited to support their evergreen superstars," the source concluded.
