‘Dream Girl 2’ is all set to release on August 25th. However, the film had to go through censorship twice in one week. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded the film with a U/A certificate after citing four changes. They muted the word 'b*****d' at two places. A dialogue on circumcision, 'Phir se khatna karwaoonga, jitna bhi bacha hai', was deleted along with the visuals. Some modification was carried out in the dialogue 'Behen kyun de di'. Finally, an anti-smoking ad was inserted before the start of the second half and an anti-smoking ticker was placed in the smoking scenes.
Even after the green signal, the film makers again approached the CBFC on August 21 and voluntarily removed as much of twenty-eight minutes of scenes from the movie. At the same time, they also added 25:31 minutes of footage. In all, the makers deleted 12 scenes and added 16 sequences. It is a rare scenario when a filmmaker voluntarily removes so many scenes from his/her movie even after receiving the censorship certificate. The total runtime of the movie stands out to be approx. 130 minutes.
‘Dream Girl 2’ is a sequel of the 2019 Bollywood hit ‘Dream Girl’. The film consists of other stars like Ananya Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz and others.
