Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana Talks About His Family’s Reaction On His Character ‘Pooja’; Says ‘My Dog Couldn’t Recognize Me, My Wife And Kids…’ (Details Inside)
‘Dream Girl 2’ featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles has been making quite some headlines. The trailer of the movie released only recently and has been attracting quite some interesting reviews. The trailer promises to bring back some rib-tickling laughter and the glimpses seem like it is going to be quite a laugh riot.
Well, at the launch of the trailer, Ayushmann spoke about ‘Dream Girl 2’ and how his family reacted to his female avatar of Pooja in the film.
Ayushmann shared, “My dog didn’t recognise me! I thought at least he would recognize me by my smell but I think that happened because I put on a woman’s perfume. I think I took a deep dive into the character. I used to wear the perfumer of my manager or my make-up artist to get into the skin of my character.”
Shedding light on his family’s reaction, Ayushmann said, “When my wife and kids visited me on sets, they could not believe that it was me.”
He quoted: “I said ‘Meri competition Ananya Panday hai. Mere saamne hi woh hai. Mujhe utna hi khoobsurat banna hai film ke andar’. Meri koshish wohi rahi hai. And my family was very proud of it.”
Dream Girl 2 releases on August 25.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee.
