One of the most loved and acclaimed directors in the nation is Anurag Kashyap. He has produced timeless Bollywood films. Anurag's movies are unvarnished, real, and frequently have a compelling plot that keeps viewers glued to their seats. His daring, outspoken character frequently draws the attention of his fans and followers. The director talked openly about the boycott culture that is currently prevalent in Bollywood and elsewhere in a recent interview.
Anurag emphasised how this culture is not very healthy and that we are "living" and "breathing" it. Speaking to a media outlet, Kashyap stated, "Today if I have to make a Black Friday or a Gangs of Wasseypur, I don’t think I can make it. Because I have seen it, I have tried to, I have written a lot of scripts but there are no takers. There are no takers for a lot of films which are remotely about politics or religion."
He added, "If there are no brave voices to back even braver vision, how does one make films in the country? How do you make a film if you have to say something in today’s day and age?”
Even today, Sushant Singh Rajput continues to be a daily trend on Twitter as fans and followers call for a boycott of Bollywood and demand that the late actor receive justice. Without a doubt, the cancel culture is implanted in people's brains, which has led to trends in boycotts.
