The horror-thriller web series ‘Adhura's’ director, Gauravv K. Chawla, recently told an amusing anecdote about how he and Saif Ali Khan once played the Ouija board game to summon spirits. Saif, he said, finds the ghostly realm fascinating, and he even admitted that he likes to watch horror movies with Taimur Ali Khan.

The ghost was being called in English, Chawla added, adding that Saif's pals from England were also present. “There we sat and played the Ouija board game, where they call the ghosts. I was there, he (Saif) was there, his some friends from England were there. We were sitting in Pataudi, which is in Haryana and everybody was talking in English. I was like, will an English-speaking ghost come here?” He added.

Chawla denied having any ghostly encounters that evening when asked. He stated: “No, our language only was wrong. But after that we started talking about our experiences of having encountered a spirit. And there was a lady from England and she was talking about it. So it is a real thing.”

Saif previously discussed death and the afterlife in an interview with PTI. “I am agnostic in real life. I’m very secular in the sense that I think too much religion worries me because they put an emphasis on the afterlife. And not enough emphasis on this life. I have a very sad feeling that once you die, it’s just lights out. That’s the end, nothing more. I sometimes hope there is more.”
