Kareena Kapoor Khan is a famous Bollywood actor who is known for her great work and has worked with many well-known directors over the course of her career. But there is one director she has never worked with, and it doesn't look like she has any plans to change that. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the name of that director.
Kareena decided not to work with Bhansali after a bad experience early in her career, when she was reportedly replaced in the famous movie 'Devdas.' Kareena said that she had done a screen test and that the director liked it. He even gave her money to sign the contract. But, much to her disappointment, she was finally replaced by another actress in the movie. This hurt her and made her feel down, especially because it happened at the start of her work.
In an old interview, Kareena talked about how she felt about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She said that she would never work with him again, and she meant it. She made this choice after being dropped from 'Devdas' and going on for another movie, 'Yaadein.' Kareena promised that she would keep her promise even if she didn't have any projects.
On the other hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali made it clear that he never officially confirmed Kareena for the part in 'Devdas.' He said that Kareena had come to his house with Neeta Lulla and told him that she wanted to work with him. He thought about the idea, but insisted on a picture shoot to see if she would be a good fit for the role. Kareena's mother, Babita ji, and her sister, Karisma, were present during the talk. Bhansali told them that the shoot did not guarantee that Kareena would be in the movie. They both knew what was going on and didn't have any problems with it.
During filming, Bhansali was sure that Aishwarya Rai was the best choice for the role of Paro because she had the royal look he was looking for. When Kareena found out about his choice later, she was very upset. She criticised him strongly in the media, saying that he had offered her a signing bonus and a contract. Bhansali said that these claims were not true, so they were false.
