After Rajesh Khanna, Akshay Kumar is one of the country's most dependable superstars since he has produced a string of financially rewarding and commercially successful movies. Even though he had a string of failures over the past four years, he was looking forward to breaking Khanna's record for nonstop hit films. His achievements and development have continued to be notable.

In fact, the instant he showed a producer his portfolio, the producer recognised his charisma and immediately signed him for not one, not two, but three films! Our very own Khiladi Kumar was signed by producer Pramod Chakravorty for three films at once. Not only that, but he also paid Akshay for all of the movies.

In 1991, Akshay Kumar was signed by Pramod Chakravorty for his debut film 'Deedar,' for which he was given Rs 5000. His first payment from his debut movie was that one. It's interesting to note that his pay increased by 30 times more than his initial charge on the first day! That is a 2600% increase, and the famous person himself explained the reasons for this increase in an interview!

The actor disclosed, in a previous interview, “Much to my surprise, Pramod Chakravorty gave me my first cheque, signed me up for three films immediately. Right away. He gave me a cheque of Rs 5000, for the first film, Rs 50,000, for second film, and the third cheque had Rs 1.5 lakh on it. The exact time he gave me those cheques was 6 o’clock in the evening.”

The actor admitted that he was worn out from all the battle he had been doing in the business before he was offered these three projects. In reality, Pramod Chakravorty's makeup artist asked him if he wanted to become an actor as he was ready to board a flight to Bangalore for a modelling gig. He quickly displayed his portfolio.

Akshay Kumar recalled, “It would have been a disaster if I would have gone to Bangalore. Today, I would be a retired model somewhere. So yes, whatever happens is for the good.”

On the professional front, Akshay is currently basking in the success of his most recent movie, 'Oh My God 2,' which has ended his box office dry spell. As we previously mentioned, the actor, whose current salary is in the 100+ crore range per film, has, nevertheless, been a superstar in terms of his compensation since the very first film he signed!

Remakes of 'Soorarai Pottru,' 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' with Tiger Shroff, and The Great Indian Rescue are among the upcoming films starring Akshay Kumar. He may appear in 'Welcome 3,' 'Hera Pheri 3,' 'Housefull 5', and Rohit Shetty's 'Singham 3' films, according to reports.
