Deepika Padukone's Old Tweet For Ex-Bf Sidharth Mallya Goes Viral

Bollywood's power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh stole the spotlight as they graced the famous 'koffee' couch on the season opener of the much-anticipated 'Koffee With Karan'. The couple made several revelations about their relationship during the episode. While their awe-inspiring wedding video was loved by fans, certain statements by the couple invited harsh criticism from online trolls.

The target of these trolls centered on Deepika's confession of continuing to go on dates with other individuals despite her relationship with Ranveer Singh. And now, an old tweet of Deepika has resurfaced, fueling the fire. The tweet dates back to Sep 5, 2010 when Deepika was allegedly dating Vijay Mallya's son Sidharth Mallya. Deepika wrote, " sidharthamallya bring home the champions league trophy and I’ll bake a cake for u and ur team!”

The trolls wasted no time seizing on the opportunity to criticize the actress, with some pointing out the timing of her statements and past relationships. A user replied, "Itna ghatiya cake bake krti ho kya ap jo aj tak wo log jeet na paaye."

Other people tagged Deepika's husband Ranveer Singh. A Twitter user mentioned, "After watching KWK I'm feeling sorry for Ranveer Singh.. Deepika really glorified cheating by saying I was mentally committed to him but I was seeing 4 others.. People only blame Ranbir Kapoor for everything."

On the work front, Deepika was last seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 'Jawan'. She recently wrapped up the shooting of 'Fighter', featuring Hrithik Roshan in male lead. The film will hit the theatres in 2024 on the occasion of Republic Day.
