Deepika Padukone Confesses She Was Seeing Other Men While Dating Ranveer Singh

DeepIka Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s recent appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 8 has become the talk of the town. It was indeed a special episode where the duo spilled some beans about themselves and opened up about their relationship in detail. While fans are in awe with their chemistry and their wedding video that was unveiled during the episode, there are some revelations that have shocked the netizens.

We all are aware that Deepika was in a serious relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and their love story ended after Ranbir allegedly cheated on her. The breakup had a traumatic effect on Deepika who then suffered from chronic depression and even feared falling in love again. However, she then met Ranveer Singh while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ and that’s when they started seeing each other. However, during the Koffee With Karan episode, Deepika made a shocking revelation that she was seeing other men while dating Ranveer.

Deepika said, “I wanted to be single for a while because I had come out of very difficult relationships. I was going through this phase where I said I just wanted to not be committed. I just wanna have fun because this is the age to and then he (Ranveer) comes along. So, I didn’t commit. In fact, I didn’t commit until he proposed me. There was no real commitment as such. Even when we were technically allowed to see other people, we would be just coming back to each other. So, I did meet other people but I wasn’t interested or excited by anyone else I was seeing. In my mind, I was committed to him (Ranveer). So, I would meet other people but at the back of my mind, I was like, ‘I’m going back to him’.”

This confession by Deepika has surely shocked the ‘DeepVeer’ fans. People are sharing this clip while mentioning that the couple was caught in ‘situationship’. This term is often liked to open relationship. A netizen criticized the couple by saying, “It’s like you cheated on him and now covering up your fault with excuses!” while another one said, “Kya faida itni dreamy wedding video ka jab dusre moment hi tum situationship ko justify kar rahe ho.”

However, a fan defended by saying, “It is very wrong to judge by watching the 43sec video, watch the entire show, you will know the depth of their love and care. Ok to Don’t like them for their acting but don’t poke your nose into anyone’s personal relationship.”

On the professional front, this year, Deepika has been a part of two all-time blockbuster Hindi movies. Deepika paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. Both the films did record breaking business at the Indian box office.
