Confirmed: Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan reteam for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali

After weeks of rumours, Aayush Sharma has confirmed that he is set to join forces with brother-in-law, superstar Salman Khan yet again for his forthcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The two were recently seen in Antim: The Final Truth (2021), directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

Sharma will play the character of Khan's on-screen brother. The film also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead role. She will share the screen space with Khan for the first time ever. Buzz has it that Zaheer Iqbal of Notebook (2019) fame will also play a pivotal role in the film.

Meanwhile, confirming his casting, Aayush Sharma said, “Yes, I am a part of the film and I’m looking forward to experimenting with my cinematic aptitude with this project. From a romantic drama to an action film and now a family drama, I’m grateful with how my innings in the film industry have panned out. I’ve never wanted to limit my creative aesthetics within one genre and my creative aptitude has always been a reflection of versatility and diversity. Going forward I’d love to explore newer genres and newer formats that leverage my innate authenticity and passion for the performing arts.”

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is produced by Salman Khan Films and is expected to hit screens in December 2022.
