As Laal Singh Chaddha prepares for release, producers are going above and beyond to ensure that viewers around the nation have the opportunity to see the story of the character portrayed by Aamir Khan. Aamir, megastar Chiranjeevi, and actor Naga Chaitanya, who plays Laal's closest friend Balaraju in the movie, spoke with the media during the unveiling of the Telugu version of the movie's trailer. As the trio joined forces to promote the movie, the occasion attracted a lot of attention.

Aamir Khan expressed his gratitude to Chiranjeevi during the event. In addition, he stated that if given the chance, he would like to repay the favor by collaborating on one of his projects. The Bollywood actor went on to funnily question Chiranjeevi as to why Salman Khan rather than him was chosen for a cameo in the upcoming movie Godfather.

To this, Chiranjeevi joyfully replied, “The character didn’t need someone with heart and brain but needed someone for their physicality, and that’s why we went with Salman." The Telugu star further praised Aamir and his film saying, “Aamir Khan is one actor who impresses the audience with his experiments. He’s the finest actor in our country and he is an asset to Indian cinema. I feel it is a privilege to present the film. He is a perfect fit for the role. He is the Tom Hanks of India.”

Laal Singh Chaddha upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan from a screenplay written by Eric Roth and adapted by Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. It is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Khan as the titular character along with Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya. Laal Singh Chaddha will release in theatres on August 11.
