Chicago South Asian Film Festival to go off with Yami Gautam's 'Lost'

The Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) will premiere with "Lost," directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and starring Yami Gautam Dhar, the producers announced on Thursday. Aniruddha and Shyamal Sengupta wrote the investigative drama thriller, Sengupta wrote the script, and Ritesh Shah wrote the dialogue. Zee Studios and Namah Pictures are the producers.

The major South Asian festival is the CSAFF, which will take place from September 22 to September 25.

Yami, who will play a crime reporter in "Lost," expressed her happiness and pride at her movie being chosen for the CSAFF.

"I couldn't be happier or prouder that the movie was chosen for the CSAFF's opening night. Particularly in this day and age, I think it's one that people will identify with and that you simply cannot overlook.

The 33-year-old actor said, "I have loved playing this role since it was such a unique experience, it allowed me to explore so many emotions as an actor, and the entire crew has worked so hard on it.

Choudhary, best known for his work on the 2018 drama-thriller "Pink," starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, expressed his optimism that festivalgoers will embrace the film with open arms.

The director expressed his excitement for the film's release, saying, "I have been eager for the release of our hard-worked venture. The film is a real highlight of media in a social context, and I am sure it will give the audience a compelling watch. I am curious about its release and see the responses it shall get.

About the Movie ‘Lost’

Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, and Tushar Pandey are also featured in "Lost."

Zee Studios, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, Sam Fernandes, and Indrani Mukherjee all worked together to produce the movie.
