Recently, Rakul Preet Singh spoke about the report made of Hindi films not working. According to her, people should ask a bigger question rather than play the blame game.
She said that one must have a look at the Indian film industry and should ask the bigger question instead of playing the blame games. Rakul also adds that the chatter on social media is not nuanced as every industry is going through that phase of fewer films working.
She elaborated on it by taking the example of south films, which have four different industries. If it follows the same rule, the North film industry should include Marathi films, Punjabi, and Hindi films. It is great because ‘Ved’ has worked well in some Punjabi and Hindi films. According to her, Every industry has a minimum of two movies released every week.
She talks about films like ‘RRR,’ which worked in Telugu, ‘Kantara’ and ‘KGF 2’ in Kannada, ‘And Vikram’ and ‘PS 1’, which worked in Tamil. Many people wouldn’t know that Malayalam films got successful because they were not released in Hindi. Rakul added that it is the same story everywhere, and they need to ask a bigger question: why?
