On Sunday, the film's creators released Kesariya, the first song from Brahmastra, and within minutes, the eagerly awaited song was trending on social media. While most people enjoyed the love song, some squirmed at certain portions, especially certain dubious lyrics. Social media users shared a number of memes in response to the song's use of the Hinglish term Love Storiyaan.

Twitter fans created a funny meme frenzy spoofing the words Love Storiya of the Kesariya song to show their disappointment. Many fans commented on Twitter that the lyrics seemed out of place, much like elaichi in a biryani, in the song. Others claimed that the song's hook has a completely different mood from the rest of the song than what was heard in the teaser.

The Kesariya song features Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and depicts the love story of the film's two main leads. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics, Pritam composed the music, and Arijit Singh sang the Hindi version of the song. The love song, which was shot on Varanasi's ghats, has been made available in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

These renditions, which go by the names Kumkumala, Theethiriyaai, Kunkumamaake, and Kesariya Rangu, were all sung by Sid Sriram. Many people claimed on Twitter that Sid Sriram's rendition of Kesariya was preferable to the Hindi song because it was free of the Love Storiyan lyrics. The first of a three-part sci-fi film series, Brahmastra, will hit theatres on September 9 in all five official languages.
