And the very first tweet after her return to the platform talks about her upcoming directorial Emergency wrap-up.
Kangana Ranaut announced her film Emergency wrap and shared a BTS video of her film, which shows different departments of the film unit coming together to put together her ambitious project. Emergency, which will now enter the post-production stage, will be scheduled to release on October 20, 2023. Kangana Ranaut's tweet reads, "And it's a wrap !!! Emergency filming was completed successfully. See you in cinemas on October 20, 2023."
The BTS video shared by her features table reading sessions with the team, storyboarding, mood boards, location hunting, the production hustle-bustle, and Kangana busy brainstorming with her team and interacting with fellow actor Anupam Kher.

The film Emergency, directed by Kangana Ranaut, will also play the lead role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It has a story of India's biggest political event when Gandhi, then Prime Minister, imposed the Emergency in the country. It stars Ranaut as former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. Principal photography commenced in July 2022 and ended in January 2023. The film is scheduled to release theatrically worldwide on October 20, 2023.
