The trailer for Badhaai Do is out, and has become a topic of conversation in absolutely no time. The film is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and features Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.
The film is the spiritual sequel to Badhaai Ho (2018) and will talk about homosexuality and the concept of "Lavender Marriage" (a marriage between a man and a woman for the purpose of hiding homosexuality).
In the film, Shardul Thakur (Rajkumar), a gay cop, convinces Suman Singh (Bhumi Pednekar), a 31-year-old physical education teacher who is interested in women, to marry him to avoid the parental pressure. The real fun begins when the two get married and then the families force the couple to have a baby. The film will be full of secrets and comedy.
Sharing the film’s trailer on social media, Bhumi Pednekar wrote, "It's one of those films that came our way, touched our hearts in ways we can't explain. Some journeys are meant to be remembered forever. Ab aap dekho trailer aur hume Badhaai Do."
Badhaai Do also features Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Chum Darang, Lovleen Mishra, Nitesh Pandey, and Shashi Bhushan in major roles.
