Anushka Sharma to train in England for Chakda 'Xpress; to undergo extensive cricket lessons

Being a perfectionist in her job has always been a goal for Anushka Sharma. The actress is going to train in Leeds, United Kingdom, for her upcoming film, Chakda Xpress, which is based on the life and times of Jhulan Goswami, the greatest fast bowler in women's cricket history. Before starting the challenging cricket scenes of the movie, the actress wants to get prepared thoroughly.

A source close to the development revealed, “Anushka is leaving no stone unturned to become Jhulan on screen. She will prepare her body; perfect her cricket skills extensively in Leeds from mid-August before she starts shooting the cricket portions of the film. She has always been a deeply committed artist and wants to do justice to the role at hand. She will prep thoroughly and put herself through rigorous training exercises before she shoots the key scenes right from the end of August through September.”

After a three-year hiatus, Anushka Sharma returns to the screens with this film. The highly anticipated Netflix film, which follows the illustrious career of one of the fastest female pacers in cricket history, will depict how she climbs the ladder over several obstacles in order to fulfill her one and only ambition of playing cricket.

Anushka has begun shooting Chakda 'Xpress, which will be filmed in India and the UK. Clean Slate Filmz is producing the movie.
