Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari recently shared a "pathetic" experience he had at a five-star hotel in Delhi on his Twitter account. The famed singer slammed the hotel and its staff in a series of tweets, accusing them of being impolite and distressing to him. Ankit described his hotel stay as "hostage," claiming there was no water available or basic services. He posted a video of a hotel in Connaught Place called the Royal Plaza, where he was complaining about the staff's insensitivity.

The Sunn Raha Hai shared a video to his Twitter account and wrote, “HOTEL ROYAL PLAZA, NEW DELHI” Feeling like hostage with family…Pathetic experience.5 star hotel me na pani hai, food order kiye 4 ghante ho chuke hain… (This five-star hotel doesn't have water. We ordered food four hours ago) Outside food allowed nahi hai so no second option…Kuch bolo to staff bouncers ki dhamki de raha hai.” (staff threatens us with bouncers if we complain)

In the video, Ankit said in Hindi, "Bahut bekaar hai, meri wife, meri bacchi bhookhi so rahi hai aur yahan pe abhi neeche aa gaye the nightsuit me ki khaana nahi hai, duty manager se baat kar rahe hain...aap dekho na koi hai hi nahi wahan pe, wahan koi hai hi nahi.( My wife, my daughter are sleeping hungry. We wish to speak to the duty manager but there is no one here. The staff is transferring calls to each other, no one is picking up)”

Ankit is known for his songs in Aashiqui 2 (2013), Singham Returns (2014), and PK (2014). In May 2014, he was detained by Mumbai Police after his then-girlfriend accused him of rape. After the prosecution failed to produce evidence to support the claim, the Mumbai Sessions Court acquitted Ankit of all charges in April 2017.
