For those waiting with bated breath- it’s official! Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to tie the knot this April. One of the most loved couples in Bollywood, Alia and Ranbir will officially be man and wife in a few days. Though the lovebirds have never shied away from PDA, their wedding is going to be a close knit affair.
As per latest reports, the couple have ditched the trend of destination weddings and have decided to walk down the aisle in Mumbai itself. What’s even more special is that the duo have zeroed in on the ancestral RK House as their wedding venue.
It is being said that the reason why Ranbir chose RK House is because he was very close to his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor who lived there. He himself finalised the venue as it is the same house where his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, had tied the knot on January 22, 1980.
RK House, located in Mumbai’s Chembur area, is the Kapoor family’s ancestral property. While the wedding date is yet to be revealed, it is confirmed that the much-awaited wedding is taking place in April. Reports suggest that the Kapoors are keen on an April-end date, while the Bhatts are keen on an early date, in lieu of Alia's maternal grandfather, Narendra Nath Razdan's health issues.
Some 450 guests are expected to be present for the intimate ceremony and all those attending have been asked to keep their schedules free from the second week of April. Preparations for the wedding are being done by Shaadi Squad wedding planners.
Interestingly, Ranbir and Alia are completely tight-lipped about their wedding. The duo have said that their fans will get to know when they finally get married, and that it has been on their minds for quite some time now.
