Alia Bhatt is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Darlings. During the promotions, she recently reacted to the criticism and trolls about the song Kesariya from Brahmastra, her first movie with her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Kesariya, sung by Arijit Singh, was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Pritam is the composer of the love anthem's melody. In the song's two minutes and 52 seconds, Alia and Ranbir portray the lovers Isha and Ayan as they profess their love for one another in Varanasi, a sacred city. Although everyone enjoyed the song's teaser, which had them all anticipating what was to come, the full-length version of the song seemed to turn off some listeners more precisely, the song's "Love Storiyaan" part.

When asked about the trolls, Alia, who was in New Delhi for the release of the song La Ilaaj from her movie Darlings, said she didn't care because Kesariya is currently dominating the charts. She was quoted saying, “Gaana number one pe hai, toh main kyun complaint karun! (The song is number one on the charts, so why should I complain).”

Billed as a dark comedy, Darlings explores the lives of a strong mother and daughter overcoming their issues while seeking love and establishing themselves in Mumbai. It will premiere on Netflix on August 5.
