Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt's film, was launched on February 25 and performed well on a commercial scale and critically. In a new interview, Alia discussed her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi, who she claims has a lot of swag, right down to the way she walks. She also stated that her actual walking style is similar to that of a "duck."

Alia's acting in Gangubai Kathiawadi was well received by the audience. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the film, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, Seema Pahwa, and Jim Sarbh. The story of Gangu, who was traded into a brothel in Mumbai's Kamathipura, is based on S Hussain Zaidi's novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai. So far, the film has grossed 186 crores at the box office.

Alia discussed how she believes her character in Gangubai Kathiawadi has a lot of "swag," and that her walking style contributed significantly to that. She then discussed how she tends to feel when she sees paparazzi videos of herself on social media. "When I watch my own paparazzi videos, I feel like I walk strangely, like a duck," she explained. I needed to spice things up." "When I watched Pushpa," she added. I was simply taken in by Allu Arjun's natural swagger. Swaggery must be felt. It should be acknowledged as a talent."

Viewers have been responding favorably to Alia's most recent film, RRR. The film, directed by SS Rajamouli, is set in pre-independence India and stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan as freedom warriors Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan, respectively. It was released in theatres on March 25 and has grossed more than 700 crores at the box office.

Alia will next be seen in Ayaan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which is set to be released on September 9, 2022. Dharma Productions is backing the project, which will also feature Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. She was also working on Darlings and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
