Over the years, Director Ali Abbas Zafar has delivered blockbusters like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bharat. The filmmaker is presently working on the finishing touches of his next film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, an ambitious action-comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. According to sources, the director has purchased the rights to remake the well-known Hollywood film The Transporter.

"Ali has been wanting to make The Transporter in Hindi for a while now and after prolonged discussions with the international studio, EuropaCorp, he has bagged the rights to make it in Hindi for a hefty amount. Ali will be directing the film himself and is excited to write the script for the Hindi-speaking audience,” said a source close to the film.

The source revealed that the film will be made with an A-List actor star from Bollywood. The source further added, "But the casting will be made once Ali is done with the work of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He has already zeroed in on a couple of names, but it will all eventually boil down to the dates of actors."

In addition to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and The Transporter, Ali Abbas Zafar is getting ready to release an untitled action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor. A release schedule will shortly be decided; it is now in the post-production stage. Although there was a rumour that it was going to be called Bloody Daddy at first, the team is now searching for a better desi name, according to the reports. The film will also mark Ali Abbas Zafar and Shahid Kapoor’s first collaboration.
