Akshay Kumar Was Hurried To Hospital As A Truck Ran Over His Foot While Filming ‘Holiday’ Remake Of ‘Thuppakki’
Daredevil actor Akshay Kumar is well known in Bollywood as Khiladi Kumar. The actor, who prefers to perform his own stunts in films, once had to be taken to a hospital in a Mumbai suburb after almost passing out during filming an action scene.
The actor came dangerously close to being hit by a truck in 2013 while filming ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, the Hindi version of Vijay's ‘Thuppakki’. To find out more about the whole thing, keep reading.

The incident happened in Film City while Akshay Kumar was filming ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, as was reported in 2013. According to the reports, while filming the Hindi version of Vijay's Thuppakki, Akki nearly avoided being driven over and hit by a truck.
According to the reports, even though Akshay Kumar avoided being struck by the truck, the latter ran over his right foot. After the collision, the actor was transported right away to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri, where medical staff reported that the actor had only minimal tissue damage and no serious injuries. Soon after, Twinkle Khanna, Akshay's wife, visited the hospital to see how her husband was doing.
Talking about the incident, a source from the sets of ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ told The Times Of India, “The accident took place at Film City where an action scene with a speeding truck was being shot. During the course of the stunt, the driver missed the timing. Akshay tried to get away from the collision course, but a part of the wheel ran over his toes.”
The actor was in excruciating pain, according to a second source. Even though Akshay is a tough man, they said, "This was quite painful. He was taken right away to the hospital. The following day, Akshay Kumar received his hospital discharge and went with Twinkle home. He is currently receiving therapy, but he has returned home, said a colleague.
