The war drama Gorkha, based on the life of war hero Major General Ian Cardozo, the first commander in the Indian Army to command both a battalion and a brigade while suffering from a battle disability, was unveiled by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar last year. Aanand L Rai, the film's producer, has now disclosed that a few "technical and factual" concerns have caused the film to be delayed.
The project has actually been postponed, according to Aanand Rai. Yes, it is true, Aanand responds. This movie is not currently being made. Technical problems exist. There are some facts that need to be clarified. But it's false to claim that Akshay Kumar "walked out of the project." Aanand, the producer, and Akshay, who have a great working connection thanks to their efforts on Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan, decided to put the film on hold till the factual uncertainties are resolved.
Meanwhile, Akshay will next be seen in the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat as well as the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, and Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill's biopic.
