The first look for Akshay Kumar's next film about a coal mine rescue has leaked online. The film's plot centres around mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who in 1989 at Raniganj Coalfields freed 64 trapped miners from a mine. In the film, Akshay will play the titular role of Gill.
Social media rumours claim that Kumar's upcoming film is titled Capsule Gill. Akshay and Rustom (2016) director Tinu Suresh Desai will reunite on this project. This time, Akshay and Tinu will depict the true tale of Jaswant Singh Gill, a chief mining engineer who assisted in the rescue of people when a coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal, was swamped. Fans of Kumar are eagerly anticipating this historical drama since the occurrence took place in 1989.
Capsule Gill, in which Akshay plays a turbaned Sikh, is said to have started filming. Akshay is unrecognisable in the first glimpse while sporting a crimson turban. He also has a thick beard and makes an appearance in the film that makes him look like Jaswant Singh Gill.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in the family drama Raksha Bandhan, directed by Aanand L. Rai. The film is set to release on August 11. Ram Setu, Mission Cinderella, Oh My God 2, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Selfiee are some of his other future projects.
