The failure of Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) has devastated Aamir Khan, and according to speculations, the star may take a hiatus from acting. Some rumours indicate that this most ambitious project Mogul has been put on indefinite hold as a result of Laal Singh Chaddha's box office flop, which comes as the actor plans to take a break.

A source close to the development was cited saying, " Aamir Khan was supposed to start working on Mogul after finishing work on Laal Singh Chaddha, however, now the T- Series chief producer of the film has shelved the project indefinitely."

According to additional rumours, the makers of Mogul are not currently in favour of investing money in the movie due to Laal Singh Chaddha's box office failure.

According to sources, Aamir Khan was cast as the lead in Gulshan Kumar's biopic Mogul, but all changed when Laal Singh Chaddha didn't work out. Subhash Kapoor was slated to direct Mogul, but since it has been decided to put the project on hold, he has gone on to another blockbuster series and is currently working on Jolly LLB 3.
