Yesterday marked the global debut of the eagerly awaited mythological drama ‘Adipurush’, featuring actor Prabhas. Om Raut's pan-Indian film has garnered attention for its monumental scope and its ensemble cast ever since the release of the teaser. Adipurush's day 1 box office take is still to be determined, although advance booking numbers were encouraging. According to recent rumours, the film's creators have also sold the digital rights to it.

Today marks the theatrical release of ‘Adipurush’. However, if you miss out on seeing the masterpiece, it will be made available on OTT 50 days after its theatrical release in the languages of Hindi and Telugu. The director Om Raut's film's digital rights have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video. According to the figures provided by OTT Play, the streaming service paid an astounding Rs 250 crore for the digital rights to ‘Adipurush’.

‘Adipurush’, which had a massive budget of 500 crores rupees, has already brought in a staggering 270 crores rupees from its Hindi and Telugu theatrical distribution rights. Now that the digital rights have been sold, it has made an additional Rs. 250 crores.

The epic ‘Ramayana’ is adapted for the big screen in ‘Adipurush’, which was directed by Om Raut. Sunny Singh will play Lakshman, Saif Ali Khan will play Lankesh, Prabhas will play Raghav, and Kriti Sanon will play Janaki. Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair worked together to co-produce ‘Adipurush’.
