Adipurush: Kriti Sanon Was Not The FIRST CHOICE! 'THESE' Actresses Were Considered for The Role Of Janaki Opposite To Prabhas

Even though ‘Adipurush’ is the most popular movie at the box office right now, it doesn't seem like the Hindi belt has a lot to say about it. In fact, both atheists and Ram Bhakts have completely turned down Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan's film. This led Hindu Sena to file a petition against Om Raut's magnum work, saying that it hurts Hindu feelings and makes fun of Ramayana.

Even though Kriti Sanon got the part of Janaki (Sita) after a long search, she wasn't the first choice for the part. Many people tried out for the role of ‘Adipurush’ as they looked for the right Sita. At first, it was said that Anushka Sharma would return with ‘Adipurush’ after taking a break to spend time with her new baby, Vamika. There were a lot of rumours that she met with the director Om Raut, loved his ideas, and was thrilled to play Sita opposite Prabhas. But nothing came of these talks, and the rumour stopped spreading quickly.

Then, Anushka Shetty, who was in ‘Baahubali’, was thought of for the part of Sita. This would have been a great casting choice because it would have brought her back together with Prabhas. But in the end, it was decided that relying on how well they worked together in the past might not be the best idea, so Anushka Shetty's name was taken out of the rumours.

Keerthy Suresh, who is known for her role in ‘Mahanati’, was the next person in line to play Janaki. She took the offer and was ready to sign the contract, which would have made her pairing with Prabhas even more interesting. Unfortunately, Keerthy Suresh had to drop the project at the last minute to work on a movie with Rajinikanth. This meant that ‘Adipurush’ couldn't make her Bollywood start with the project.

Keerthy Suresh has a lot of films coming out, including ‘Maamannan’, ‘Bhola Shankar’, ‘Siren, Raghu Thantha’, and ‘Revolver Rita’. She was supposed to make her first Hindi film with Ajay Devgn's ‘Maidaan’, but there were so many delays that she had to leave the project. On the other hand, Anushka Sharma is making a movie about Jhulan Goswami called ‘Chakda Express’, while Anushka Shetty is making a movie called ‘Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty’.

At the last Kriti Sanon stepped into the part of Janaki, and fans cheered for her performance, even though the movie's screenplay wasn't very good. Even though other actors were also considered for the role, Kriti Sanon was the one who really stood out in ‘Adipurush’.
