Ajay Devgn's company, NY VFXwala, has clarified that it did not create the VFX for "Adipurush" after receiving criticism for having "poor VFX."
Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon, was directed by Om Raut to bring the Ramayana story to the big screen. However, ever since the first trailer for the movie debuted recently, there has been a unified unfavorable reaction from many sectors.
People have mainly been let down by the film's subpar VFX and several characters, including Saif's Raavan, who have ridiculous looks.
Many online commenters have compared Saif's appearance in the movie to that of Alauddin Khilji rather than Raavana after noticing that the actor is sporting short spiked hair, a long beard, and kajal eyes. The credit slate at the end of the movie teaser mentioned the name of one of the producers and VFX supervisors, Prasad Sutar, the co-founder of the renowned VFX company, NY VFXwaal.
The founder and chairman of NY VFX Waala are Ajay. The post was uploaded on Instagram by Film critic and analyst Taran Adarsh. The message reads,”ADIPURUSH` CG/SPECIAL EFFECTS: NY VFXWALA ISSUES CLARIFICATION... OFFICIAL STATEMENT... #Adipurush #NYVFXwala."
"Leading VFX studio, NY VFXWaala has clarified that they have not worked/are not working on the CG/special effects of Adipurush. An official note on their behalf clarified, `we are putting this on record because we have been asked by a few media people."
