Om Raut's much awaited movie ‘Adipurush’is creating talk even before it is officially released. This mythical movie based on the Indian epic Ramayana, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, has attracted a significant amount of national interest. Advance reservations have started, and with three days until the movie's theatrical debut, it appears to be off to a solid start.
A well-known film industry tracker Manobala Vijayabalan today tweeted revealing a calculation that ‘Adipurush’ has already made a respectable sum of Rs 3 crores from only advance bookings. This computation was done under the assumption that there would be 1,50,000 free tickets, each costing $200 on average.
Despite the fact that this number could seem big, it should be remembered that the movie has a huge budget of roughly Rs 500 crores. This early success of Rs 3 crores is therefore considered more as a promotional tactic to create anticipation and enable people in need to attend the movie.
Given its high production expense, ‘Adipurush’'s box office performance is vital. Although considerable recoveries have come from non-theatrical revenue sources, the success of the movie will ultimately depend on how well it does at the box office. Thankfully, ‘Adipurush’ is not anticipated to encounter much competition in theatres for the following eight weeks, with the exception of a few major Hollywood and Bollywood films. It has the potential to be a big hit in the Indian market if the movie connects with the audience.
