In a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the All India Cine Workers' Association asked him to ban the movie 'Adipurush' and asked for a FIR (First Information Report) against the people who made it. The head of the association, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, was worried about how the movie portrayed Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. He said that the movie's script and dialogue hurt the religious feelings of Hindus and people who follow Sanatan Dharma.

In the message to Prime Minister Modi, Gupta stressed that people of all religions in India worship Lord Ram as a god. He didn't like how Lord Ram and Ravan were portrayed in the movie. He said that Ravan looked like a figure from a video game and that the lines were offensive to all Indians, both in India and around the world. The group asked the Prime Minister to step in and stop showing the movie right away. They also asked that it not be shown in theatres or on OTT platforms in the future.

Gupta also wanted a FIR to be made against the film's director Om Raut, its writer Manoj Muntasir Shukla, and its producers. He said that they had hurt the feelings of Hindus and made Lord Ram, Maa Sita, and Ramsevak Bhagwan Hanuman look bad. Gupta was upset that actors Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan were in the movie. He said that they should not have been in such a shameful film, which he called a total disaster for faith in Shri Ram and the Ramayan.

Critics and writers from all over the country have also said that they didn't like some of the dialogue in 'Adipurush.' Some people have criticised phrases like "bua ka bagicha hain kya", and "jalegi tere baap ki". Because of the bad reviews, the people who made the movie have chosen to change the dialogue.

In a different event, Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, banned Indian films in the city after the 'Adipurush' dialogue controversy. Soon after, Dhanraj Acharya, the mayor of Pokhara, sent emails to three movie theatres in Pokhara, telling them to stop showing Indian films starting Monday morning. Because of this, theatres in both towns no longer show Indian films. Instead, they show Nepali and Hollywood films.
