Actress Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal launched their pushing Button in 20121 because they thought the production unit would not be easy for them. Recently they wrapped their first-ever film as a producer, and both are surprised by their first maiden offering completed smoothly.
Girls Will Be Girls is Shuchi Talati’s directorial venture, which went on floors last November and was wrapped up in the last week of December. Fazal was very happy and said it was an indescribable joy to see the first production close to the finish line. Fazal says, “The feeling is an interesting mix of jitters and excitement. I am excited only because I am in a position where we get to prepare stories in collaboration with many cool and talented people. I am proud of our actors and the team, who have outdone themselves. Now, we gear up for phase two post-production.”
For Richa Chadha, this Indo-French co-production holds a special place. She says, “It will always be a memorable film because many firsts are attached to it. It is the first film from my production house and the first one after my wedding. This movie helped me evolve as an actor as well as a producer.”
