Actress Jacqueline Fernandez showed up at Delhi's Patiala House Court on Tuesday to answer questions regarding the money laundering case involving "conman" Sukesh Chandrashekhar. In light of the ongoing inquiry, the actor has requested authorization to travel. On December 23, she will depart for Bahrain, per her application.
The court has ordered the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond to the application, according to the news “Actor Jacqueline Fernandez moves an application seeking permission to travel to Bahrain from December 23. The court directed ED to file a reply and listed the matter for December 22,” the agency tweeted.
Additionally, a video of Jacqueline entering the courthouse was posted online. Jacqueline has been charged in the case, claiming she’s involved with alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Prior to this, on December 12, actor Nora Fatehi sued Jacqueline Fernandez for slander in connection with the extortion case in which Sukesh Chandrashekhar is the primary accused. She is suing Jacqueline and a few media outlets for allegedly "trying to damage her name" and making her lose her position in the industry.
In her defamation lawsuit, Nora stated:“It has started to become evident that the aforementioned rivals being unable to compete with the Complainant fairly in the industry have started to try and destroy her reputation which would cause her loss of work.”
