Actor Adah Sharma Shares Health Update; Announces Break From Work For Treatment After Hospitalization Due To Hives

Actress Adah Sharma, who is known for her work in ‘The Kerala Story’, recently provided an update on social media following reports of her hospitalization. Confirming the reports, she revealed that she had developed hives and that her condition further deteriorated due to a reaction to the medication she was taking. Adah expressed gratitude to everyone who reached out to her, including her long-time fans and Adah Sharma fan clubs. She also posted several photos of her allergic reaction to the medicines but warned viewers about the graphic nature of the images.

She wrote in Hindi, “Thank you to everyone who reached out to me and some of them I haven't met for years, also Adah Sharma fan clubs.” She added a disclaimer about the photos and said, “Do not swipe if you are scared of rash on skin images, they are a little scary but I thought one should not share only nice photos on Instagram.”

She revealed she had hives initially, which caused her rashes all over her body. “I've been sick for a few days. I had hives, which is a horrible rash. I was hiding it by wearing full sleeves, but it started showing on my face due to stress! So then I took medicine and it turns out I am allergic to the medicine so it made me nauseous. So now I'm taking another medicine and an injection. I will be doing promotions today but with full sleeves.”

Adah went on to say that she would choose an Ayurvedic cure for her rashes. She will spend some time away from this to concentrate on her health. She added, “I have promised my Amma I will take care of health. Tomorrow I am leaving for a few days. My Amma has told me to focus on health instead of radio trails, zoom interviews and promo shoot. I will be back soon. Till then I will keep updating scenes from Commando on Instagram.”

The reason for Adah's hospitalization was severe diarrhoea and food allergy, which led to a considerable decline in her health. According to a source close to the actor, she experienced a severe burst of stress hives, and as a result, she was under observation during her hospital stay.

Despite her health challenges, Adah mentioned that she will be promoting her upcoming series ‘Commando’ one last time before heading out for an Ayurvedic treatment. In ‘Commando’, Adah will be reprising the role of Bhavana Reddy, and the series is set to release on August 11.
