Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala leaves behind an impressive legacy and a fortune worth over $5 billion. He had investments in over 30 companies.

The "Big Bull" of Dalal street, who died on August 14 after battling heart and kidney ailments, also had a connection to Indian cinema.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala produced the 2012 film English Vinglish, which marked veteran actor Sridevi's return to the big screen after 15 years. The film was made with a budget of Rs 20 crore and collected a worldwide gross of Rs 84 crores. Co-producers on the project were Sunil Lulla, R Balki, and RK Damani.

He was also a producer for two other films - the Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer Shamitabh (2015) and Ki & Ka (2016), starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, which collected Rs 22.46 crore and Rs 70 crore at the Box office.

He was also a huge fan of Waheeda Rehman and Amitabh Bachchan.

Famously referred to as India's Warren Buffet, Jhunjhunwala was also portrayed in the 2020 hit series Scam 1992, based on Harshad Mehta's stock market trials and tribulations. After Mehta's downfall, he claimed the title of the 'Big Bull of Dalal Street.'

Jhunjhunwala's death has led to an outpouring of grief among his many admirers -- from politicians to business leaders and sports stars.

On August 21, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra shared a Twitter post mentioning Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's as 'most valuable and profitable investment advice ever' and stated that this advice is worth billions and only requires investing one's time, not money.

Mahindra's Twitter post, which includes a cropped snippet of Jhunjhunwala's old interview, reads: "This post is being widely shared. At the last stage of his life, Rakesh gave the most valuable and profitable investment advice ever. It's advice that is worth billions; the best part is that it requires investing your time, not your money. #SundayThoughts"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered him as indomitable and full of life.

"Witty and insightful, he leaves behind an indelible contribution to the financial world," Modi tweeted.

The 62-year-old business magnate is survived by his wife, Rekha Jhunjhunwala, two sons, and a daughter.

His presence will be missed both in the markets as well as in the entertainment industry.
