Abhishek Bachchan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Dasvi, which has been creating quite a stir. The actor is promoting the film not only in Mumbai but also in Delhi alongside his co-stars. In a recent interview, Abhishek and Nimrat were discussing the film when the actress complimented Abhishek on his sharp tongue and clever humour. Abhishek's iconic moment on Oprah Winfrey's show many years ago was brought up by the actress.

For the uninitiated, Abhishek Bachchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai appeared on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009, where the host grilled them on their celebrity and Indian culture. One of the things that interested her the most was the concept of joint families, when children remain with their parents even as adults. Abhishek and Aishwarya live with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek's parents.

Oprah questioned them, “You live with your parents? How does that work?” Abhishek responded, prodded by Aishwarya, “You live with your parents?” the host said she doesn’t "How does that work?" said Abhishek. The audience erupted in applause.

Abhishek further said, “It was a big deal for her. Later on, Aishwarya told me that when she had gone on Oprah, Oprah had asked her the same thing… Hum log desi log hain, yaar. Humari pratha hai. This is our culture. But then, I realised, in America, woh 18 saal pe bahar nikal dete hain. Hum log sab biwi bachche… I like that. That whole joint family thing is nice.”

Oprah also asked Aishwarya and Abhishek why they don't kiss on screen in their films during that interview. Abhishek had previously stated that intimacy was depicted in Indian films (at the time) through song-and-dance numbers because they were 'more interesting.'

Even today, Desi people praise Abhishek for his witty response on the old video from the talk show.
