‘A Woman-Centric’ Movie - Rhea Kapoor calls out sexism
Despite public backlash, Rhea Kapoor has never been afraid to speak her mind. From time to time, she has reinforced her boss-lady attitude with her expressive posts on social media.
Recently on Instagram, the film producer exploded with her appropriate reaction to netizens, believing that she is only focused on making female-centric films.
She wrote, “What the f*ck is a ‘woman-centered’ movie? Can someone tell me?”
Her post also highlighted sexism by stating a rhetorical query, “Can someone announce a ‘man-centered’ movie soon? Or is it just a given?”
Having previously produced films such as Veere Di Wedding, Khoobsurat and Aisha, Rhea said, “I’m not interested in making movies centered around women. My films just have women in them, calling them “more daring and “more fun.”
She said, "Also, heroes are just very sensitive and emotional.”
Earlier, Rhea Kapoor has also ensured to depict girl ability and sisterhood via her empowering phrases on social media.
