The seasoned actor, Chandrakant Gokhale's son is Vikram Gokhale. His father, one of Marathi cinema's most adored performers, is well known for his outstanding work in theatre and movies. The son of Kamlabhai Gokhale, the first-ever female child actor in Indian cinema, and a well-known singer, Chandrakant Gokhale.

Theater career of Vikram Gokhale

The legendary actor began his acting career in the 1960s with Marathi theatre productions. Vikram Gokhale continued his theatre career till 2016, despite later making a name for himself in both Marathi and Hindi cinema. Due to a throat condition, he announced his retirement from live performances in 2016.

Bollywood's debut film

Early in his 20s, Vikram Gokhale began to work steadily as an actor in Marathi films before making his Hindi film debut. In 1971, the actor made his Bollywood debut in Amitabh Bachchan's film Parwana.
